1.Pentland Squire
2.Romano and Markies on top.
3.Romano and Desiree (scabby are Desiree)
4.Sarpo Mira
5.none as Nadine went a bit rotten so good were tranferred.
6.Markies
7.Sarpo Mira
8.Desiree
9.Romano and Desiree (scabby are Desiree)
10.Nadine
Today we went to M & D Homebrew in Wakefield and I bought two wine kits, two bungs and airlocks, a spoon, thermometer, cleaning and sterilizing powder and plan to go back for a siphon. We now have two 1 gallon brews going in Demijohns that I got from the tip last weekend. California Connoisseur – Sauvignon Blanc and Beaverdale – Pinot Grigio.
Saturday 17th October
We went to harvest potatoes just after breakfast and didn't get home until tea time (apart from a trip to drop off a car full of spuds!) In total we lifted 3 rows and the garage is now covered in them. Quite a few Sarpo Mira had gone a bit rotten or slug damaged. Markies appeared mainly clean as did the Nadine and Desiree.
Sunday 11th October
We went and mum harvested, dad put manure around fruit trees and I flame weeded. After about an hour it started to rain so we headed home. Later we went for a walk to the park and along the river. Over the last two days I have frozen four freezer bags full of chili peppers and jalapeños.
Sunday 4th October
Me and dad took the compost and did some weeding (not very much). Dad harvested the pumpkins, marrows and cucumbers while I planted some more spring cabbage.
