Sunday 21st June
We went and harvested 4 ice cream tubs of strawberries, cauliflower and potatoes. We weeded, put in supporting steaks for the peas and beans with strings for them to grow up and made a wire basket from some old squares of wire to dry out the weeds in.

Tuesday 16th June
Mum and dad went to water, cover strawberries with net and to weed a little.

Sunday 14th June
We went in the morning and weeded before planting out celeriac, more salfify (as germination had been poor) and 2x pumpkin becky, 2x courgette grisette, 1x courgette black beauty and 2x cucumber. There are some more in trays still should these run into any problems. Hopefully next year these will fit onto the correct plot as I plan to move the peas and beans onto the salad and carrot bed. Dad hoed and weeded as well as setting a fire to burn the weeds, mum tidied up the wallflowers at the road edge (more food for the fire). Some of the tomatoes were tied into their canes higher up and some watering in the greenhouse and around the plots. We harvested a cauliflower and a cabbage.

Saturday 13th June
Today the sun was very strong and we went to water in the greenhouse. I spent my time sowing together pieces of netting to make a larger cover for the strawberry bed. Dad weed killered the couch grass and mum harvested potatoes and radishes. We also did some more weeding.

We went to plant the leeks (after weeding where we are putting them), 2 more brussel sprouts and a purple sprouting broccoli. Dad did some hoeing, weeding and planted a rhubarb that we have grown from seed with a bucket of manure under it.
