Allotment Diary June 2005

Monday 27th June
About an hour weeding and burning, got too hot and I had PC problems to deal with

Saturday 25th June
3hours burning and weeding pm. Still on the first of 3 plots

Friday 24th June
About an hours burning and weeding, then its raining again. Went to look at an 8x6 greenhouse that’s 2yrs old, it was more like 22yrs old and a lot bigger than 8x6 , possible 16x10!

Wednesday 22nd June
Lots more burning, well a couple of hours before it got too hot.

Tuesday 21st June
Did a few hours burning and a little weeding and chopping down.

Saturday 18th June
Rake out weed heaps so they dry, its too hot to do anything else today! Too hot to stand and burn the stuff!!!

Friday 17th June
Continue weeding, burning and started chopping down bushes (pm for a couple of hrs).

Thursday 16th June
Continue weeding the first plot am + pm (removing all the roots from the weeds), this part seems a lot slower than chopping them down with spades.

Tuesday 14th June
Continued clearing first plot, went again in evening to burn a little of the rubbish.

Monday 13th June
Continued clearing the first plot.

Sunday 12th June
Walk to Green Lane Allotments to have another look at them (pictures below). Spoke to Karen who got me a form and a ducks egg. Later on we went to the allotment to begin clearing the first of three plots.
