We all walked down and watered the pear trees.

Wednesday 21st September
Took pear trees down in the trailer and planted them on the fruit plot, but forgot the camera! The Conference pear is opposite the shed looking from the road and the William Bon Chretien pear is opposite the greenhouse.

Tuesday 20th September
Mum and dad went to the allotment and dug bigger holes for the pear trees and put manure in as well.

Monday 19th September
Mum and dad went to plot to spread out the soil from the mounds on the middle plot, they also harvested some lettuce.

Saturday 17th September
Go down on bikes after tea with dad, put steaks in to mark where the pear trees will go. Also watered lettuce and had a chat with a couple of people.

weeding and some plantsWednesday 14th September
Me, mum and dad went down to water the lettuce. I removed the peas because they aren’t doing anything and all the weeds that were around them. Dad weeded some more and mum watered in the greenhouse. We harvested a turnip, kohl rabi, four courgettes which were going a bit marrow again, lettuce, spinach and radish.

Sunday 11th September
We all walked down and watered the plants in the greenhouse.

weeding and some plantsThursday 8th September
Me, mum and dad went in the morning for a couple of hours weeding. Mum and dad planted firethorn cuttings outside the allotments bottom fence at first then weeded the muckheaps. Harvested the first Kohlrabi and another turnip, pulled and composted the radishes that are running to seed.
In the afternoon we went again to take down some fence panels, canes, polythene sheeting and tree stakes (actually old wood from an older shed).

Wednesday 7th September
Mum and dad went after tea to potter, weed and water if needed.

Tuesday 6th September
Went am for about 1hr45min on my bike and weeded more for the pear trees. In the greenhouse I put some dirty polythene up as a shade for the lettuce which are getting burnt.

weeding and some plantsSunday 4th September – home vegetable plot…
Harvested remaining small sweet corn and had it for tea.

Saturday 3rd September
Me, mum and dad went am to burn the rubbish and weed more of the muckheaps. The fire produced a bit too much smoke and the whole area went foggy looking with it! Weeded a bit and then I came home to go to the gym; mum and dad continued to weed for a while and came home a couple of hours later for lunch. Mum harvested a turnip that we haven’t eaten yet and then we had the sweet corn from home which tasted great. Definitely going to have to grow a lot more sweet corn at the plot!

Thursday 1st September
Planted some more radishes at home in the garden.
Went to the allotment and weeded a muck heap for about an hour trying to make somewhere to plant the pear trees. Mum and dad joined me after and had lunch and then weeded for about 3 more hours.
