Wednesday 21st November
Mum and dad harvested some salad leaf, beetroot, turnip, carrots, cauliflower and leeks.

Sunday 18th November
Me and dad decided to continue with the chicken coop, unfortunately due to design changes we needed some more timber and screws... so we went shopping again before we started. By the end of the day we had overcome some design problems and started cladding a section that has to be done before we can continue with other sections. We have also cut out the most awkward pieces of floor that will fit up to the edges.

Chicken coop continues to grow!Saturday 17th November
Me, mum and dad went to flame weed, harvest and dig out glass. An hour or so after lunch we went home to carry on constructing the chicken house.

Wednesday 14th November
Mum and dad went down and continued turning soil and digging out lots of glass. Folded up the weed matting to the rear of where we park car and dragged it to the road edge. Harvested carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, leeks and parsnips.

The beginnings of a chicken coopSunday 11th November
Me, mum and dad went down and checked round, spoke to other plot holders about keeping chickens.

Wednesday 7th November
Mum and dad tidied round and started digging where the black matting had been, pulling lots of glass from this area. Harvested some leeks.

Sunday 4th November
Me, mum and dad went down to check the effects of the burn and check on the fire.

Saturday 3rd November
Me, mum and dad went down for about 9:15 in the morning and took the new Sheen X300 flame gun to try it out. We got it set up, fuelled up and lit it, within a few minutes it started to roar and I opened the valve. I ended up using 8litres of paraffin and weeded most of our 3 plots! This would not have been possible by hand in a 5 hour session at the allotment! Mum harvested some more of our produce including carrots, parsnips and cauliflower. Dad weeded and tidied up as well as getting the fire going using the flame gun.
