Saturday 30th June
I pricked out most of the leaf salad, there was so much some is going in the compost!! Pricked out lettuce as well as sowing Cauliflower Andes for a winter crop.

Tuesday 26th June
Mum and dad staked an apple tree which had blown sideways, harvested some salad leaf, raspberries and cut the grass.

Saturday 23rd June
Me, mum and dad went down in the afternoon to harvest some potatoes, a cabbage, spinach, raspberries and some strawberries. We also checked the watering in the greenhouse.

Thursday 21st June
Dad cut the grass, hoed, weeded and watered. Mum sowed Kohl Rabi, 2 rows of Swede, 1 row of Turnip, quarter row Beetroot, some more Spinach and cut Spinach down to 1#x201d; that was there already, some more Rocket and some wallflower seeds. They took down 2 chilli plants and put them in the bottom greenhouse.

Mum put 3 Ailsa Craig tomato plants into bigger pots and continued weeding around beans. Planted remainder of bean seeds where previous sowings had either not germinated or had been eaten. Dad raked fire ash away from back of plot and reseated the incinerator and weeded and hoed on top plot again.

Sunday 17th June
Me and dad went down for an hour before lunch to harvest some produce and to see what had happened while we were away on holiday.
We harvested two plants worth (of 38 total :o) of Pentland Javelin potatoes which are first earlies. We only used half of them with a salad at tea time and the skins are thin, the potatoes are creamy and delicious! We also had our first strawberries of the season, a courgette and another spring cabbage. We pulled some weeds, but the rain has really accelerated their growth while we were away. Everything is growing well and it is looking very green.

Saturday 16th June
Got back from holiday to find the pots in the greenhouse a bit too dry, they hadn't been watered since Wednesday. But look quite alright still I am sure they will pick up again soon.

Sunday 3rd June
Me, mum and dad went down in the morning before it got too hot. I planted out two cucumbers and two butternut squash. We gave away some spare squash plants too. Dad cut the grass and watered as well as doing some weeding. Me and mum covered the strawberry bed with three lots of crop netting. Mum planted some brassicas that we had spare to replace ones that had failed.

Saturday 2nd June
I decided to put the shading up in the greenhouse in the back garden because the sun is really quite burning today! This turned into a bigger job than expected as I had to take a couple of pieces of glass out to undo nuts to mount the brackets for the netting wire to go onto. I also planted some lettuce and leaf salad in the greenhouse.
