Thursday 25th September
Mum and dad harvested and tidied a little. Watered in greenhouses.

Lots of rollering later and the base is looking a bit more level

Saturday 20th September
Mum washed water trays and pots from greenhouse at home.

Friday 19th September
Mum and dad went for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Mum harvested salad leaf, carrots, cabbage, swedes, beetroot, courgettes and squashes. Washed water trays again but white algae is still stuck to them. Dad weeded around leeks on top plot.

Tuesday 16th September
Mum sorted through the potato sacks as some of the sacks had rotten, stinky potatoes in, not a pleasant job. Had to wash two of the hessian sacks as they were wet from the rot. (Hung them in the greenhouse to dry as still wet weather.) Not sure whether it was slugged potatoes that had gone bad.

Monday 15th September
Mum sorted through the tomatoes harvested last Friday and put the unripe ones in trays on the kitchen windowsill to ripen.

Friday 12th September
Mum and dad went down in the afternoon for salad leaf, picked all the tomatoes, some chillies, cucumber, squashes, courgettes and beetroot. They composted tomato plants and washed pots and trays, some of the trays will need a pan scourer to clean them thoroughly. They were rained off. Dad tied in some of the raspberry canes.

Thursday 4th September
Mum and dad took sweetcorn compost down and harvested salad leaf and courgettes. Still quite wet.

Tuesday 2nd September
Mum and dad went down in the morning and harvested sweetcorn on the top plot, a cabbage, 2 cucumbers, a swede, tomatoes, chillies and salad leaf. Next dad weeded where the sweetcorn had been. Later on they blanched some sweetcorn “on the cob” and the rest as kernels and froze it.
