Allotment Diary March 2006

Friday 31st March
Mum and dad weeded on top plot and hoed and weeded around various areas to tidy.

Wednesday 29th March
Mum and dad weeded top plot. Put compost in some plant pots ready for planting. Watered onion sets in greenhouse.

Tuesday 28th March
Mum and dad took compost down and discovered a greenhouse glass panel had been broken by a piece of wood (presumably thrown at it). Karen and Alastair have some spare surplus panes and we used one of these to make a repair.

Thursday 23rd March
Mum and dad weeded top plot. Dad raked out fire and started a new fire pile. Only half of the weeds yesterday burnt.

Wednesday 22nd March
Mum and dad finished stick pile and set fire to bonfire. Weeded a little on the top plot, but was a bit wet. Watered onion sets in greenhouse.

Wednesday 15th March
Mum and dad dealt with more of the stick pile and raked some of bottom plot. Not many sticks to prune now.

Tuesday 14th March
Dad dealt with more of the stick pile. Mum weeded on top plot towards road edge.

Monday 13th March
Mum and dad weeded on top plot and took seed potatoes in egg trays (chitting) and put them in the greenhouse. Lit weed fire.

Saturday 11th March
Mum and dad potted some compost ready for seeds and put 60 onion sets into peat pots in the greenhouse. Brought some rubbish, glass and stones home for bin.

Friday 10th March
Mum and dad weeded top plot and made good headway defining top edge of top plot.

Monday 6th March
Mum and dad did some weeding but mainly burnt fire and dealt some of stick pile.
Put in greenhouse the plant plots that Louise had given us.
