The salad leaf in the trough hast started to germinate after just 3 days which is very good!
Saturday 27th March
We decided that two of the chickens were past their best having not started laying this year. One had been doing unusual poo for a couple of weeks and hadn't responded to worming but had lost weight. The other had always been an ill bird and layed a lot of odd eggs last year. Me and dad took them to the allotment to incinerate in a fire for a couple of hours. There was nothing left apart from bits of some bones so the fire did its job.
In the afternoon we decided to clean and disinfect the run to protect the remaining 3 birds.
Friday 26th March
I planted some seeds in trays and a planter to go in the house to germinate.

Mixed Salad leaf and radishes.
